PicoSure Tattoo Removal

The tattoo removal machine used at Organic Skin and Body Med Spa, PicoSure, is the first
picosecond laser in the world that had utilized pressure wave technology to break down tattoo ink.
PicoSure uses laser energy that targets the ink in the skin and shatters it into smaller fragments. These
ink fragments will then drain out through the lymphatic system, breaking down the ink continuously
with each treatment.

What makes PicoSure different?
Considering most other laser devices that are used for tattoo removal are heat based, the
PicoSure uses pressure wave technology that will create a faster and more result driven treatment. The
pressure wave will shatter the ink into micro fragments that will call for less treatments to achieve full
clearance of the tattoo!

What will I notice during the treatment?
Before the Laser tattoo removal treatment is preformed, the technician will numb the client
with a cool ice roller. After the client has reached the desired numbness, the technician will tailor the
laser settings to the individual and preform a test spot to ensure an effective treatment. When the laser
comes in contact with the tattoo ink, at most times it will create the frosting effect. The frosting effect is
the clinical endpoint of the treatment. The tattoo will turn a white/yellow color and this will disappear
after 1-30 minutes. The tattoo will bounce back to its original color and start to break itself down until
the next treatment.

What will I notice after my Tattoo removal treatment?
After the treatment is preformed the technician will spread aloe on the treatment area and
cover it with a non-stick pad to avoid any bacteria to have access. After the treatment, blisters,
scabbing, peeling, purpura, edema, and erythema can be expected. This occurs because the body is
draining the ink out and it is going through the natural healing cycle. If blisters do form, it is of most
importance to allow them to go away on themselves and not to pop them. If the blisters pop on their
own, allow the skin to stay and protect the area, similar to a band aid.

How often will I need a treatment?
The body takes about 6-8 weeks to heal itself completely, this is how long the treatment
intervals will be. The number of treatments will depend on each client and their tattoo size, color,
depth, layers, and melanin index.

Choosing tattoo removal with the PicoSure machine will allow for quicker, and more efficient clearance of your ink!
