Treatment day
New clients are asked to arrive about 15 minutes early to check in. After cleansing, a topical numbing cream helps minimize discomfort; after a previous consultation or treatment, numbing ointment may be sent home with you to apply before you arrive.

Recovery
Swelling, and sometimes blanching, is expected right after treatment and generally resolves within 24–48 hours, though it can last 3–5 days for some clients. Redness, broken capillaries and bronzing can appear for about 1–3 days and may linger mildly for several weeks, especially off the face.
Before your appointment

- Retinoids should ideally be stopped 1–2 weeks before your first treatment and throughout your treatment course.
- Avoid sun exposure before treatment to help prevent pigment changes.

After your appointment
Cool gel packs and appropriate topical creams can ease itching or stinging. Don’t pick at or scrub treated areas; gentle cleansing and non-irritating cosmetics are fine. If you are prone to breakouts, skip heavy makeup or moisturizers for 24 hours.
Avoid injury and sun exposure for at least two weeks. Use a UVA/UVB sunscreen with SPF 45 or higher plus a zinc oxide or titanium dioxide sun blocker between treatments, and keep using SPF 45+ outdoors for up to 6 months after your final treatment.
After stretch-mark treatment, avoid tight-fitting clothes over the treated area for three months after your last session.
